| Synopsis: Popular real-life hip-hop
moguls METHOD MAN and REDMAN portray fictionalized versions of themselves
in this comedy where the performing duo move into the affluent and quiet
Nottingshire Estates to provide Method’s old-school and hard-working mother
DOROTHEA (Anna Maria Horsford) the ultimate in luxury and comfort. Late-night
parties, hot ladies and heavy-bass SUV’s aside, Method is a cool, non-judgmental
guy who talks to his pet goldfish, "Goldie," and can do no wrong
in his mother’s eyes. Redman, the mischievous hustler and a constant thorn
in Dorothea’s side, realizes along with Meth that they need to connect
with their neighbors and become a part of the community or risk being
voted out by the neighborhood board. Unfortunately for Method & Red, their next-door neighbor is NANCY BLAFORD (Beth Littleford, "The Daily Show"), a powerful realtor and head of the neighborhood board whose life’s dream is to evict the rappers, much to the dismay of her timid husband BILL (Peter Jacobson) and their 12-year-old son SKYLER (David Henrie), who openly admires the dynamic but totally laid-back duo. With Dorothea keeping them PG-13, METHOD & RED change tactics -- using spirit, kindness and even fruitcake to ingratiate themselves with the residents of Nottingshire Estates.
