Synopsis: Nell Macdermott is a young, savvy businesswoman with political aspirations who wants to follow in her well-connected grandfather's footsteps. Her plans are thwarted when her husband Adam meets an untimely death in a mysterious boating accident.

As the circumstances surrounding the explosion come to light, they seem peculiar and implausible to Nell and Lisa Ryan, whose husband Jimmy was also killed. After learning their husbands were brutally murdered, they begin working with detectives George Brennan and Jack Sclafani to uncover the truth.
