Biography: Embeth Davidtz, who recently co-starred in the feature film "Bridget Jones's Diary," also appeared in Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List," "Mansfield Park," "Bicentennial Man," Robert Altman's "The Gingerbread Man," "Murder in the First," "Feast of July," "Matilda" and the supernatural thriller "Fallen." She will also be seen in the upcoming independent film "The Hole," the thriller "13 Ghosts" and "The Palace Thief," which is currently in production.

She began her acting career with a National Theatre Company production of "Romeo and Juliet."

Davidtz, a native of Trenton, N.J., moved to South Africa at a young age and is a graduate of Rhodes University.

She lives in Los Angeles.

She was born Gretta Milano in Trenton, New Jersey on January 1st, 1966.
